The Alice Lloyd Eagles played host to the Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands on Wednesday.  When the contest ended, the Eagles were on the short end of a 5-0 score.

The Patriots would score first in the game, by pushing two runs across in the top of the 3rd inning to create a 2-0 lead.  The visitors would add three runs in the top of the 5th inning to make the score 5-0. UC was able to make their lead stand up as the never allowed the hosts to gain any momentum at the plate.

ALC was outhit 8-3 as Jake Woolwine, Ronnie Saylor, and Alan Silva accounted for the hits.

Hampton Clark recorded the win for the visitors as he tossed five innings of shutout ball. Clark struck out seven, walked two and gave up two hits.

Jake Weaver  ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss, as he allowed two runs.
