BUCKHORN, Ky: Sophomore guard Lindsey Proffitt poured in 43 points and hauled down 15 rebounds to lead the June Buchanan Lady Crusaders to a 68-58 road victory over the Buckhorn Lady Wildcats.

The game was tight throughout as both clubs battled hard, but the Lady Crusaders were able to hold on for the nice victory.

For JBS (11-8), Proffitt connected on 9-13 from the field and an outstanding 22-26 from the charity stripe to account for her 43 points. She was followed in scoring by junior Kaitlyn Everidge with 8, senior Megan Hall with 6 and sophomore Lexi Likens with 5. Senior McKayla Likens and sophomore Breana Harrington chipped in with 4 and 2 points respectively. Harrington added 7 rebounds.

On the night, June Buchanan shot 36.4% (20-55) from the field and 75% from the foul line (24-32) compared to Buckhorns 32.4% (23-71) shooting from the floor and 47.4% (9-19) from the charity stripe. The Wildcats (10-17) won the battle of the boards, 48-35.
