The June Buchanan Crusaders rolled to an easy 84-39 victory over the visiting Jenkins Cavaliers Tuesday night in a 53rd district match-up.

The Cavaliers opened the contest by taking the early lead, but they were unable to stop the flurry of buckets that the Crusaders soon unleashed. Backed by solid 57% field goal shooting (36-63), the hosts were able to pull away quickly, as Coach Elisha Justice was able to freely utilize his bench.

For the victors (10-3), Idris Akinyemi paved the way with 18 points on 8-10 shooting. Princewell Anosike followed in double figures with 14 points and added a game high of 11 rebounds. Hunter Hammond also cracked double figures with 10 points.

Additional scoring came from Cage Watts with 9, Elijah Branham with 8, Steven Silvers with 6, Dalton Hylton with 4, and Chase Short with 3. Daniel Snow, Erric Sexton, Lucas Hall, Caleb Cox, and Izaeyah Dotson each contributed 2 points to the cause.
