Megan JonesThe Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles battled the Kentucky Christian University Lady Knights Tuesday night in a road match-up. The hosts prevailed in a cold shooting affair, 56-45.

In the first quarter, the game was nip and tuck as neither squad could gain an advantage. After one quarter in a low scoring game, the hosts led 10-8.

In the second stanza, KCU managed to outscore the Eagles 16-12 to take a 26-20 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, the Eagles came out of the gates ice cold. KCU outscored their foe 21-9 to increase their margin to 47- 29.

In the last quarter, ALC made a run as they outscored the Knights 16-9, but it was too late.

The Eagles (3-5) only shot 24.2% for the game which proved their downfall. They were led by senior Megan Jones with 10 points. She was the only player to reach double figures. Sophomore Taylor Arthur was held to just 5 points, but did haul down a season high 16 rebounds.
