Spirit Night 6The Alice Lloyd Eagles made the long journey to Wilberforce Ohio to face the home standing Wilberforce Bulldogs Thursday night. When the smoke cleared, the Eagles had dropped an 82-74 decision.

In the first half, the home team connected on seven shots from long distance as they quickly seized the lead. Alice Lloyd received 11 first half points from Eagle guard Austin Crisp, but the Bulldogs entered the locker room with a 45-36 advantage.

In the second half, sparked by 12 points from forward Tyler Rogers, ALC quickly cut into the lead; the deficit stayed within 2 and 5 points the entire way. Unfortunately Eagle foul trouble proved costly as several players were saddled with foul difficulties. The game turned on two late turnovers from Alice Lloyd combined with two big baskets by WU. These plays sealed the deal for Wilberforce.

For ALC (2-3), four players reached double figures. Rogers led the way with 19 points while Crisp was right behind with 16. Guard Trevor Tiller, who missed a major portion of the second half because of foul trouble, contributed 15. Freshman center Shane Hall chipped in with 12.

The Bulldogs were led by the game high 23 points from Patrick Mitchell.
