KIAC Fall golf

ALC Eagles golfers played in the KIAC Fall Tournament at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown on October 2nd and 3rd. The weather was awful. It was cold, raining, and the wind was terrible. Eagles golfers shot 336 the first round and 327 the second round to finish at 663, good for 7th place among 9 teams. Zach Hancock lead the Eagles with an 80 the first round and a 75 the second round for a 155, good for a tie for fifth place.

NCCAA Golf

Alice Lloyd College Eagles golfers played in their first NCCAA regional on October 6th and 7th at Rarity Bay Golf Course in Vonore, TN. Conditions were fantastic, as was the venue, who did a fine job of hosting the event. Hiwassee College was the host school, and Tigers head coach Seth Tate did a great job hosting the event. Participating teams were Belhaven University Blazers from Jackson, MS; Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY; Hiwassee College, Madisonville, TN; Bluefield College, Bluefield, VA; and Johnson University, Knoxville, TN. Eagles golfers shot 339 each round to place 4th. The course was a hybrid Bermuda grass course that Eagles golfers were not used to playing, and we lost a lot of shots on the greens. The last 4 rounds Eagles golfers played were less than 340, with one round less than 330, which is a great improvement from earlier this year. Eagles Golf looks to be much more competitive in the spring.
