The Alice Lloyd Eagles volleyball squad kicked off their season over the weekend by facing Appalachian Bible College and Welch College in a tri-match hosted by Appalachian Bible. Alice Lloyd started the season well, winning against Welch College, before dropping a decision to the host club.
In the victory against Welch (25-21, 25-17, 16-25, 25-15), Savannah Sizemore had the hot hand. She had 10 kills, 7 aces, and 5 blocks. Sarrah Huber had 2 kills and 4 assists, while Katelyn White had 3 kills and one assist.
The Eagles dropped the second match to the hosts from ABC, (16-25, 19-25, and 16-25). Sizemore paced the squad with 1 kill and 8 attacks while Delaney Pritchard had 7 digs.
The Eagles hope to have a good season and would like fans to come and join them in their success.
