The squad is excited to welcome Kennedi Damron and Ramsey Dixon from Knott County, KY and Elly Fulks from Ohio. Damron is one of the strongest players in the area. She has character and will bring a lot to the team.

The girls are excited to get this season started but their hearts are with a player who isn’t able to compete with us this year. On August 30, Morgan Castle, a senior tennis player, was in a near fatal automobile accident. She is still in critical condition and in ICU and has been through so much these past 25 days. All hearts are heavy for her and her family, and she will be missed; we are praying for God to heal her. The first match was Saturday September 26 in Pittsburg. The game was dedicated in honor of Morgan. The squad all wore pink to show its support. We know that she was cheering for ALC from her hospital bed!

As far as veteran players, the squad returns Crilda Brown, Serena Nickell, Ashley Cornett and Peyton Brown. Crilda Brown and Nickell are seniors this year while Peyton Brown and Cornett are juniors. Overall, they are excited to finally get the tennis season started. With the newcomers playing a major role in helping our team compete and the returning players adding several leadership benefits, our outlook for the season appears bright.
