Kari Huber - VolleyballKari Huber has been selected as the new Head Women’s Volleyball coach at Alice Lloyd College.

Huber, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, played collegiately at John Brown University in Arkansas before transferring to Northeastern State, Oklahoma to pursue a degree in Special Education with emphasis in Behavior Disorders.  She received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Kentucky University. She has lived in Hazard, KY for the past 15 years and serves the region as an independent consultant for various state agencies. She has coached at various levels for 23 years.

Kari is a quality fit in our athletics department”, stated Director of Athletics Gary D. Stepp. “Her background in volleyball should lend itself nicely to helping our program grow. She is a hard worker and has a strong desire to help our team as they continue to improve.”

When asked what attracted her to the position, Huber commented,” I love volleyball and especially coaching the sport. I believe these ladies have a lot of ability and my desire is to see them reach their full potential both on and off the court. I expect to see each of them graduate and be able to look back and see what a positive influence Alice Lloyd College had on their life”.

 When asked about her goals for the club, Huber stated, “I definitely expect to see our teams work hard and demonstrate high character at all times. I also expect them to represent our school in a positive way as we strive to become a contender in our league”.

Huber is married to Mike Huber. They have two children, Sarrah and Kaleb, who both attend Alice Lloyd College.
