Monday afternoon in Wilmore KY, kicked off the final 3 game series of the Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles regular season schedule. The first game was nothing less than a display of pure offense for both teams.  ALC found themselves up early with a 5-1 lead over the hosts after a second inning explosion.  In the bottom of the fourth, AU would rally to get back the runs they lost.

With Asbury up at the plate during the bottom of the 6th, they saw 2 runs cross home to jump ahead 8-6. Unfortunately, the visiting Eagles were not able to overcome the deficit. The Eagles were only outhit 14-12. Tori Price, Megan Boswell, Megan Jones, and Alex Meade each had 2 hits apiece in a losing effort.

Asbury jumped ahead quickly and limited the visitors to just 2 hits in taking the day’s opener.

Both teams were hoping to rejuvenate the hitting offense they saw previously the day before; however for the Eagles, they had trouble making contact. The only two batters who got a hit for Alice Lloyd were senior Tori Price and freshman Madison Haymaker, but both were left stranded on base.

Game 2

AU-7; ALC-1

In the series finale, the ladies of Alice Lloyd took a quick 1-0 lead before Asbury came storming back for the win.

Once again, the Eagles were limited to just 4 hits on the day as Alex Meade had 2 of them. The host Eagles finished with 13 hits, and scored at least 1 run in five of their innings played.
