The ALC Men’s golf team completed the 2014-2015 golf season at the KIAC Golf Championships hosted by IU East at the Liberty Country Club in Liberty, Indiana. IU East did a fine job as host and the course was in great shape and an excellent test of players games. Point Park University won the conference championship shooting 915 over the three rounds to defeat Brescia University by 15 shots. Brescia’s Will McKenzie won the KIAC Player of the Year with a 219 for a four shot win over Point Park’s Diego Ortiz.

ALC’s Jared Albright shot 249 over the three rounds to win all-conference honors. Eagles golfers struggled in this event, with only 5 rounds in the 80’s and zero rounds in the 70’s to finish 7th of 7. We were looking for a better result after playing well last Saturday, but that was not to be this time.
“All ALC golfers have improved their games substantially over the year. This is our first year competing as a golf team with a regular schedule,” stated Coach Hamilton. “I congratulate all Eagles golfers for a great season and look forward to next season where we will take home more than one win. Having played a full season we now know what NAIA golf is about and what we have to do to win.”
