Game 1

RG-9; ALC-1

The visitors broke open a close game with a 4 run sixth inning. ALC had just two hits, the big blast being a Tori Price homerun over the left field fence.

Game 2

RG-9; ALC-1

For the second straight contest, Rio pulled away to win by the score of 9-1. The Eagles were unable to get key hits when they needed them and hurt themselves with a few costly errors.

Game 1

RG-9; ALC-1

The Lady Eagles kept the game tight for 3 innings, but were doomed by 6 runs from Rio in the fourth that broke the game open.

Alice Lloyd’s Tori Price drove a ball over the fence in the fourth inning to make things interesting. Unfortunately, that would be as close as the home team would get.

Game 2

RG-13; ALC-1

Rio jumped ahead quickly in the final match to put the game away. The hosts were limited to just 3 hits on the day.

Despite the loss, Coach Dan Wilson is optimistic for his club. ‘” We need to continue to reduce the small errors and mental mistakes that happen in softball.  They players are sometimes too hard on themselves, but it is because they want to do so well for their teammates. Encouragingly, the girls are really supportive of each other and are learning to let go of their errors and move on to the next play. We are showing continued improvement and I am pleased with our effort.”
