The ALC Golf Team competed in the Southeast Kentucky Invitational golf tournament at the Crooked Creek Golf Course in London, KY on Monday & Tuesday. 36 holes were played on Monday and 18 on Tuesday to complete the 54 hole event. The weather was good both days, but very cold Monday morning. Competition teams included teams like Cardinal Stritch, from Wisconsin, the 16th ranked team in NAIA golf, and one that has a shot at the overall NAIA championship. Eagles golfers struggled Monday morning, shooting 394 as a team. The team improved to 375 for the second round on Monday and stood 8th of 8 for the tournament. Eagles golfers shot 355 on Tuesday for a total 54 hole total of 1124 to finish 8th of 8.

All four Eagles golfers competing improved their scores from round to round, as did the team. This is the first time this team has improved in that manner, and such improvement is what you normally see  with golf teams in these tournaments. The ALC golf team is gaining the experience we need to become more competitive. Our last round score was not the highest score for the round, the first time that has happened. Results for the tournament can be found here

Eagles next tournament is the Upike MSC tournament at the Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, KY on March 30/31.
