The Alice Lloyd Eagles journeyed to Indiana over the weekend to face the Indiana University- Kokomo Cougars on Saturday and played Sunday in Richmond against the Indiana University- East Red Wolves. Both contests were KIAC conference match-ups.

Sophomore big man Mason Pack sank 4 three point bombs to spark the Eagles to victory.

The opening half was tight throughout as neither team established any dominance. ALC led at intermission by one, 34-33.

In the second half, defense was the name of the game as the visitors put the clamps down on their hosts. In a tightly played contest, Alice Lloyd held on for the nice victory.

For ALC (10-12; 5-2 KIAC), Pack led the way with 20 points. Overall, he was 7-11 from the field (4-6 from long range) and sank 2-3 free throws. Additionally, he added 4 rebounds.  He was joined in double figures by Tyler Rogers with 12, and Cody Stumbo with 10. Trevor Tiller and Austin Crisp each added 9. Crisp and Rogers each had 4 assists while Stumbo led the club with 7 rebounds.

The Cougars (7-14; 1-5 KIAC) were led by Jared Lawrence with 18.

On the night, Alice Lloyd shot 50% (29-58) from the field including 31.8% (7-22) from long range, and was 62% (18-29) from the charity stripe. They also had 33 rebounds and 13 assists.

Kokomo shot 32.9% (25-76) from the field including 33% (8-24) from long range, and was just 54% (19-35) from the charity stripe. They also had 48 rebounds and 14 assists.

The Red Wolves scored on an offensive rebound bucket with one second remaining to drop Alice Lloyd in a heartbreaker.

The opening half was tight throughout as neither team would give ground. In a low-scoring affair, ALC trailed at intermission by four, 33-29.

In the second half, the hosts maintained the lead, and kept it between 6-9 points for the majority. However, sparked by Trevor Tiller, the Eagles battled back. When Tiller scored on an old fashioned three point play at the 1:18 mark, the visitors led 73-72.

 After Alice Lloyd got a defensive stop, Austin Crisp then drained a three point bomb to put his club ahead by four (76-72) with 30 seconds left; a huge comeback victory was in the clubs grasp.

Trailing by four, East brought the ball down needing a bucket. Following an offensive rebound on a missed shot, they found Jacoby Claypool. His long bomb with 18.4 remaining reduced the deficit to one (76-75).

On the ensuing play, ALC turned the ball over and gave the Red Wolves a chance to win.

With the clock winding down, Claypool drove the right baseline and fired a difficult shot in traffic with 3 seconds remaining. His attempt bounced off the goal.

Unfortunately, East forward Huston Clark retrieved the errant shot, and sank the game winner with just 1 tick remaining.

For ALC (10-13; 5-3 KIAC), Tiller led the way with 28 points. Overall, he was 6-13 from the field (2-3 from long range) and sank 14-15 free throws. Additionally, he added 3 rebounds.  He was joined in double figures by Cody Stumbo with 14 and Crisp with 11. Tyler Rogers added 9 points and 4 rebounds before injuring his knee. Trevor Combs led the squad with 5 assists, while Dondre Warren led the club with 8 rebounds.

The Red Wolves (17-6; 5-1 KIAC) were led by Tyler Fangman with 19.

On the night, Alice Lloyd shot 41.5% (27-65) from the field including 28.6% (4-14) from long range, and was 75% (14-18) from the charity stripe. They also had 46 rebounds and 11 assists.

IUE shot 38.7% (29-75) from the field including 27.8% (5-18) from long range, and was just 63.6% (14-22) from the charity stripe. They also had 47 rebounds and 14 assists.
