The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles traveled to West Virginia Tech on Friday, November 21st to take on the WVT Lady Golden Bears. The Lady Eagles were not able to get into any kind of rhythm on this night as they would lose, 95-80.

ALC was looking for two wins in a row coming into this contest. A slow start would find ALC down early to the Lady Golden Bears. When it was all said and done, the Lady Eagles found themselves down eighteen at the half (47-29).

The Lady Eagles would try their best to mount a rally in the second half. Try as they might, it just wasn’t meant to be for Alice Lloyd. Even though the visitors outscored the hosts 51-48, it was not enough. The bad first half for ALC doomed the Lady Eagles.

ALC would shoot 30 percent (27 for 90) on this night while going 10 for 33 (30 percent) from beyond the arc and convert 16 of 28 free throws (57 percent). WVT made 41 percent (28 for 68) of their shots while connecting on 7 three-pointers in 15 attempts (46 percent). The Lady Golden Bears made 32 out of 51 free throws (62 percent). West Virginia Tech outrebounded ALC, 63-54.

Carla Booth had 36 points for Alice Lloyd (4-3) while Serena Nickell contributed with 13 points.

Nia Nolan paced the home team (4-3) with 15 points.
