The Alice Lloyd Eagles were back on the court for the second straight day as they traveled to the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee to butt heads with the Buffaloes of Milligan College in their road opener. Unfortunately, a slow start for the Eagles was costly, and they fell 81-62.

Coming into this game, the men in blue and white were seeking back-to-back victories. Unfortunately, ALC found themselves down 12-3 with 14:59 left in the opening stanza. The Eagles went into an even deeper hole with five minutes to go in the half as Milligan expanded their lead to nineteen (37-18). The Eagles went into intermission down 48-28.

In the second half, the Buffaloes opened on an 11-5 run to make it 59-30 with fifteen minutes remaining. The Eagles (1-1) fought back, but were never able to get the deficit within striking range.

ALC would end up shooting a frigid 29 percent (20 for 67) on this night while Milligan connected on 24 buckets out of 61 tries (39 percent). Both teams shot in the sixties from the free throw line; the Eagles went 18 for 26 (69 percent) and Milligan made 26 of 39 (66 percent) free throws.
