Scholar Athletes LogoCOLUMBUS, Ga. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Wednesday that 297 softball student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes. Alice Lloyd College senior pitcher Whitley Albury, who is originally from Peru, Nebraska but now resides in West Liberty, Kentucky, made the list.

Bethel (Tenn.) and William Carey (Miss.) are tied for the most individuals on the list with seven each. Central Methodist (Mo.), Indiana Wesleyan, Midland (Neb.) and Spring Arbor (Mich.) are all tied for third-most with six each.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

LEWISTON, Id. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 257 baseball student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Alice Lloyd College senior catcher Bobby Caldwell of Manchester, Kentucky has made the list for the second consecutive year.

Hastings (Neb.) leads all institutions with 11 individuals on the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

The Alice Lloyd College Department of Athletics congratulates Bobby Caldwell on this extraordinary achievement for the last two seasons!
