Coach Scott Cornett would hand Logan Condra the ball for the second game of the double dip. This one was an absolute pitcher’s duel as neither team could manage to bring a run home through the first eight innings. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Hiwassee was able to manufacture two runs in the ninth to ultimately give them the victory.

Condra was brilliant, going six and a-third, giving up five hits but did not allow a run while ringing up three batters. Timmy Sublett, Chance Westerfield and Neil Dillon pitched the other two and two-thirds innings. They allowed three hits and two runs (one earned).

The Eagles return to the field in non-conference action on Wednesday, April 9th in a 9-innings game versus UPike. Game time is set for 3 PM at ALC’s Reeve Athletic Field.
