aaron_wilburnAlice Lloyd’s Caney Convocation Series is set to open with its first installment of the 2014 spring semester on Tuesday, January 21st. The special guest will be inspirational musician Aaron Wilburn.

Wilburn’s newest recording, A Miracle in Every Pew, expresses his feelings toward his faith and ministries. He has had #1 songs, multiple Song of The Year nominations and awards, Dove Awards and Grammy nominations, resulting in his inclusion in the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He has been featured on the Gaither Homecoming Tour and videos, and has endeared himself to thousands of laughter-loving fans with his own down-home brand of humor, as he talks about his southern roots, his family, children and his faith. As Wilburn says, ”There is no generation gap with laughter.” His motto is “laugh more, live longer.”

Wilburn is sure to bring the house down with laughter, and he does it without four-letter words or making his audience feel uncomfortable. Whether he is on stage in an arena surrounded by 15,000 or in a banquet setting for a corporation or church, he is at home. If you tell him, “I loved your act,” he’ll probably tell you, “That’s no act; that’s who I am.”

Please join us for what is sure to be an entertaining hour!

This event is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st, at 1 PM in the Estelle Campbell Center for the Arts on the campus of Alice Lloyd College. ALC’s opening convo is a special time in which the campus is brought together in a spirit of togetherness and purpose as each new semester begins. Professional dress is required.
