This week’s Male Athlete of the Week goes to Eagles’ power forward Tyler Rogers.
The super sophomore had a magnificent game in ALC’s season opener against Union College. In that game on Saturday, November 5th, Rogers came close to a triple double as he produced 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 blocks.
Rogers also had 5 points and a momentum-changing dunk early in the contest against Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday, November 8th, but later had to leave the game due to a knee injury. He is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
Despite this, the Lexington, Kentucky native is averaging 18 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game through the first two games of the season.
The Eagles will participate in the BB&T Basketball Classic on November 8th and 9th at the Pikeville Expo Center. Both games are set to tip-off at 6 PM.
