Short List PicPIPPA PASSES, Ky. — College administrators at Alice Lloyd College are pleased to announce that the College has once again been named to The U.S. News Short List. Alice Lloyd was placed in the top ten least expensive private colleges and universities in the nation. The College was also one of only two institutions in the top ten to earn a top 50 rank in their category (Regional Colleges – South).

Perhaps no other school in the country does as much as Alice Lloyd does for its students. The College is dedicated to educating Appalachia’s young people at little to no cost to them. In a time when most of the nation’s students are facing skyrocketing tuition prices, the ALC tuition guarantee is a deal that cannot be beat. All students originating from within ALC’s 108-county service area in Central Appalachia do not pay any out-of-pocket costs for tuition while attending Alice Lloyd through the Appalachian Leaders College Scholarship. This money is provided through the generous donations of people across the country. Also, as one of the nation’s seven work colleges, all full-time students at ALC work at least 10 hours a week to offset the cost of their education, and nearly all receive financial aid to cover the cost of fees.

Earlier this month, Alice Lloyd was named the #2 college in the nation for graduating students with the least amount of debt by U.S. News and World Report. Additionally, ALC was named a “Top Tier College” for overall academic quality and placed second among southern regional colleges on the “Great Schools, Great Prices” list.
