Alice Lloyd College continues to earn national recognition for its commitment to providing a low cost, high quality education to Appalachian students in our 108-county service area. A recent MSN Money report featured Alice Lloyd in its listing of “6 Colleges That Offer Free Tuition.” These six colleges, which offer lower tuition costs in exchange for student work or other agreements, were noted as being excellent alternatives to schools that grant almost no assistance with today’s skyrocketing price of higher education.

The report from MSN can be seen here.

As colleges and universities across the nation experience a steady rise in tuition, Alice Lloyd remains steadfast in its mission to graduate students with little to no debt. The College’s Appalachian Leaders College Scholarship, available only to qualifying students from its Central Appalachian service area, provides a wonderful opportunity for students to get a quality, character-based education at an affordable price. In the current state of the country’s economy, that’s a deal that cannot be beat.

U.S. News and World Report, NBC’s The Today Show, Yahoo! Finance, and Forbes magazine also agree that Alice Lloyd College is a wise investment for one’s future.
