by Jennifer Thornsbeary, Alumni Relations Assistant
Just as the activities of the fall semester dwindle to a close, the graduating seniors’ days as Alice Lloyd College students are also becoming increasingly numbered. To commemorate this special and bittersweet milestone, ALC’s Office of Alumni Relations hosted a Senior Celebration event on December 4, 2012. This celebration included a lunch that was catered by Pioneer Food Services in Cushing Hall and a convocation in the Ralph Edwards Auditorium.
The convocation was led by Dr. Jerry Wayne Slone, a member of ALC’s faculty. The students in attendance were treated to not only Dr. Slone’s profound yet entertaining advice for the upcoming graduates, but also the opportunity to win a variety of door prizes.
The success of this event is attributed to several departments, and a thank you is extended to: President Stepp, the Admissions Office, the Development Office, Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Marketing and Communications, Student Services, Pioneer Food Services, and Dr. Jerry Wayne Slone.
