The Alice Lloyd Eagles led at the half, but could not hold on as they suffered an 84-73 setback at the hands of the Virginia Intermont Cobras Wednesday night. The matchup was played in Bristol, Virginia.

The game went back and forth in the first half with the highest lead being six points. There were as many as eight lead changes before the Eagles took a 43-39 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, Intermont tied the game at 51 with 15:40 to play. From that point forward, the visitors were forced to play catch-up as ALC would lead only one more time the remainder of the game. The Cobras outscored the Eagles 45-30 in the final stanza to post the victory.

For Alice Lloyd (6-7), Terry Muse led the way in the scoring column with 21 points along with 8 rebounds while Tyler Rogers delivered 19 points and snagged a game-high 9 rebounds. In addition, Stuart Stamper had 11 points while Cody Stumbo chipped in with 10 points and 4 assists.

For the Cobras (5-7), Joshua Hart led the way with 22 points.

The men play again on Saturday, December 8th, when they tangle with Brescia University at 3 PM at ALC’s Grady Nutt Athletic Center.
