The Lady Eagles Volleyball season came to an end on November 9th with the Eagles being defeated 3-0 by Brescia in the opening round of KIAC Conference play. The Lady Eagles fought hard, but fell short of the victory against the tough opponent.

Coaches Jason Stowers and Jolene Watts are hopeful about next season as they try to build a competitive Volleyball program at ALC, saying, “The Lady Eagles will return next season looking bigger and stronger with the help of our returning players, as well as some impressive recruits.”

The Eagles will lose senior Rebekah Bevins, a strong and steady Middle Hitter. As Stowers and Watts try to construct a winning team, they will have to do it without the leadership provided by Bevins.

“She’s been here since the program’s inception,” said Jesse Riffe, an assistant with the team. “We’ve been glad to have a woman of her talents and abilities playing for us. She will be missed.”

Bevins received an emotional send-off during Senior Night.
