The Alice Lloyd Eagles used a solid defensive effort, limiting Kentucky Christian University to just 33% field goal shooting, and posted a 81-58 victory over the visiting Knights Tuesday night.

In the opening stanza, KCU jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead as the hosts came out of the gates tense. However, the Eagles tightened up mightily on the defensive end as they limited the Knights to just 23% from the field. By the time the buzzer rang to signal intermission, ALC had closed the rest of the half on a 33-11 run to pull ahead by 17 (34-17).

In the second half, both teams increased their offensive output. KCU shot much better from the floor, but Alice Lloyd never allowed them to mount any sort of comeback. The hosts managed to outscore the visitors 47-41 as they earned the big victory.

For the victors (2-1), junior guard Issac Wilson led all scorers with 23 points. He also added a team high 4 assists and registered 2 steals. Junior guard Stuart Stamper also reached double figures as he tossed in 10 points.

Freshman forward Tyler Rogers also played well, as the jumping-jack added 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 big blocks.

Senior center Terry Muse contributed 7 points, 11 rebounds, and joined the block party by adding 5 of his own. The Eagles registered 15 total blocks on the night.

For the Knights (1-1) David Darden led all scorers with 20 points.
