On August 17, 2012, The June Buchanan School took their 11th annual trip to the Kentucky State Fair. Students in grades 6-12, along with several teachers, took part in numerous activities throughout the day and experienced many of the things that make Kentucky great. Dean Amanda Clark commented on the day’s events, saying, “It is important to allow our students an opportunity to learn about the amazing heritage we have here in Kentucky. Students gain a better understanding of what makes us unique.”

In addition to being a great educational opportunity, this trip provided a great way for new JBS students to bond with their classmates. While at the fair, students made sure to stop by the Knott County booth, which featured JBS student Cage Watts on the ATV display board. A great time was had by all of the students, faculty, and staff who attended!
