On Saturday, February 4th, The June Buchanan Middle School Academic Team was back in action at the Regional Governor’s Cup Competition, held at Cordia Elementary. Students competed against students from 14 other schools in both team and individual events. Individual students taking home subject awards were:

Language Arts: Ruby Yeary (3rd)

Science: Trey Moore (2nd) and Colton Jacobs (5th)

Social Studies: Trey Moore (1st) and Colton Jacobs (4th)

We are pleased to announce that in addition to these individual awards, the JBS Quick Recall Team placed 1st out of the entire region! These accomplishments added up to secure the 2nd place overall award for the JBS Crusaders. All of the individual winners, as well as the Quick Recall Team, will be advancing to the State level of Governor’s Cup to be held on March 10th-12th in Lexington, Kentucky. We wish these students the best of luck as they represent JBS at the State level!
