The Alice Lloyd College Eagles gave up 56% shooting for the game, and it cost them dearly as they dropped an 85-69 decision to the visiting Berea College Mountaineers last night. The game was played at the Grady Nutt Athletic Center.

In the opening stanza, BU jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead in the first three minutes of the contest. ALC battled back to take a one point lead only to see the Mountaineers steal it back. When the buzzer sounded signaling intermission, the Eagles trailed 40-35.

In the second half, Berea got hot as they connected on 66.7% of their attempts. They broke open a 65-61 game with 7:03 remaining by closing on a 20-8 run to seal the deal.

For ALC (11-11, 3-5 KIAC), junior forward Shawn Thompson led all scorers with 21 points. Sophomore guard Isaac Wilson and senior guard Casey Dalton added 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Berea (8-15, 3-5 KIAC) was led by Harry Cross with 17 points.
