The Alice Lloyd College Eagles traveled to New Albany, Indiana to battle the defending KIAC conference champion IU Southeast Grenadiers Saturday evening. In a contest that saw the hosts on fire in the first half, the Eagles dropped a disappointing 110-76 decision.

In the opening stanza, the Grenadiers came out swinging, as they shot a blistering 62.5% from the floor including 7-13 from downtown. Fueled by their offense, they sprinted ahead 53-36 at intermission.

In the second half, IUSE cooled off to shoot 48%, but they tossed in seven more long range bombs to keep any chance of an Eagles comeback on ice.

For ALC (12-13, 4-7 KIAC), sophomores Shawn Thompson (pictured at left) and Terry Muse were the only players to reach double figures. Thompson tossed in 21 points, while Muse chipped in with 10. Muse also added 7 rebounds and 4 blocks on the evening.

IUSE (19-7, 9-1) had six players to reach double figures. Wes Cox led the way with 19 points.
