The NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) has posted weekly statistical ratings, and Alice Lloyd College had several basketball players ranked among the nation’s elite for the first week of December.

In Men’s Basketball, the team is currently 11th in the nation in total blocks (36) and 12th in blocks averaged per game (4). They are also 14th in the nation in offensive rebounds averaged per game (14.8).

 

 

Individually, junior Brent Hall (Beaver, June Buchanan School) is 4th in the nation in rebounding, hauling in 10.8 per game. Hall is also averaging 4.8 offensive rebounds per game, which is 2nd in that category. His 98 total rebounds are good enough for 5th nationally.

 

 

 

 

Sophomore big man Terry Muse is ranked 2nd in the nation with an average of 3.25 blocks per outing and 2nd in total blocks with 26.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sophomore Isaac Wilson (Corbin, Corbin High) is ranked 6th in the country in assists, averaging 6.8 per game. He is 5th overall in total assists with 62.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On the women’s side, sophomore Ariel Nickell (Tazwell, VA, Clairborne High) is 8th in the country in total points scored at 195. This is good enough for 13th in the country in scoring average (19.5 ppg). She also leads the KIAC Conference in that category as well.

 

 

 

 

Freshman forward Carla McDaniel (Sneedville, TN, Hancock Co. High) is presently 4th in the nation in Assist/Turnover ratio. Her average is currently 3.66/1 per game.
