The Alice Lloyd College Eagles baseball team hosted the University of Virginia Wise Cavaliers at Reeves Field on Wednesday. In the varsity game, UV Wise broke open a scoreless contest in the 4th inning and pulled away for a 10-3 victory. In the second game, the two junior varsity clubs squared off. The game was halted by darkness after 6 innings with the score tied at 2 apiece. Below are recaps of the games.

Varsity: UV Wise-10, ALC-3
UV Wise first baseman Kirk Jennings broke open a scoreless game with a home run in the 4th inning, and added a second blast two innings later, to propel the Cavaliers to the 10-3 road win.

The visitors had 13 hits on the night, while Wise pitching limited the Eagles to just 4 hits. The Eagles also hurt their cause with 3 errors.
ALC senior right fielder Kyle Potter (Ashland) belted a double and drove in 1 run. Junior Jeff Cyrus (Louisa) added a RBI of his own.

Eagle pitcher Trevor Corns recorded 5 strikeouts, but suffered the loss on the mound.
