{nl}On Friday, April 30, a very special visitor came to the campus of Alice Lloyd College, accompanied by local missionaries Hazel Huff and Donna Dudte. Alice Loyd (spelled with only one L), a missionary originally from Washington, D.C., had known of Alice Lloyd College for quite some time, but had never visited campus. Alice learned of ALC during her studies at a Baptist college in Columbia, South Carolina. Each week, her prayer group would pray for the continued success of Alice Lloyd College. After college, Alice Loyd began her career as a missionary and served for 38 years in Ireland. Once she returned to the United States, Alice continued her missionary work. A missionary retreat held this past weekend at Camp Nathaniel gave Alice Loyd the opportunity to visit the college she had been praying for many years ago.
