The Alice Lloyd Eagles baseball team entered the 2010 KIAC tournament at Berea with high hopes. After winning an opening round matchup, they dropped the next two contests to finish their season. Following is a recap of the tournament.{nl}APRIL 28{nl}ALC-14; Cincinnati Christian University-3{nl}ALC opened up double elimination play against CCU. The Eagles jumped ahead on the scoreboard 7-0 after five innings and were never threatened. Senior Adam Adkins went 3-4 at the plate with one double and Tyler Dotson went 2-4 with a homerun and 3RBI’S. Pitcher Nick Grey scattered 7 hits over six innings to earn the victory.{nl}APRIL 29{nl}Brescia-19- ALC-6{nl}Fueled by 22 hits, Brescia jumped out 8-0 after three innings and earned the victory. Eagle Adam Adkins went 3-4 with a double for the second straight game to provide a bright spot, and Taylor Sewell added two hits and 3 RBI’s. Pitcher Trevor Corns suffered the loss on the mound.{nl}APRIL 30{nl}Berea-18; ALC-11{nl}ALC saw their season come to an end as they fell behind 6-0 after the first inning. They sliced the deficit to 13-10 after six innings, but the host school iced the contest with a 4 run seventh. For the Eagles, Adam Adkins kept up his stellar tournament play. The senior went 3-5 with a homerun and a double, and batted in 4 runs. He finished his last tournament by batting .692. Kyle Potter went 3-3, while big Joe Rasnake belted a 3 run homer to aid the cause. Cory Brewer suffered the loss on the mound.
