Coach Scott Cornett took his ALC Eagles on the road March 26th and 27th to face Cincinnati Christian in two conference doubleheaders. The Eagles played well each day and earned four important KIAC victories to push their conference record to 5-3. Due to CCU having difficulties with their home field, the games were played at Georgetown College.{nl}MARCH 26{nl}GAME 1{nl}ALC-17; CCU-2{nl}The Eagles scored 17 runs on sixteen hits while limiting Cincinnati to only 2 runs on two hits. Taylor Sewell and Tyler Dotson each had three hits, while Joe Rasnake blasted a home run and was joined by Trey King with 3 RBI’S apiece. Will Ray went the distance on the mound to earn the decision.{nl}GAME 2{nl}ALC-17; CCU-2{nl}Big Will Leonard went 3 for 4 and registered 4 RBI’S to spark the winners. Tyler Dotson also had three of the Eagles ten hits. Cory Brewer struck out seven and earned the win on the mound.{nl}MARCH 27{nl}GAME 1{nl}ALC-11; CCU-5{nl}CCU fought hard and the game was knotted at 5 after seven innings of action. The Eagles then scored 6 runs in the top of the eighth to end any further drama. Carter Sibley and Jordan Stumbo each had three hits as the Eagles outhit Cincinnati fifteen to nine. Trey King, in relief of Lewis Michael, earned the pitching decision.{nl} {nl}GAME 2{nl}ALC-17; CCU-1{nl}The Eagles scored 17 runs on seventeen hits while limiting Cincinnati to only 1 runs on four hits. Josh Branham had three hits and 3 RBI’S and was joined by four buddies with two hits apiece. Gerald Branham earned the pitching victory and combined with Todd Duff to record 8 strikeouts.
