IU Southeast forward Alden Krausse scored 18 points in the second half to lead the Lady Grenadier’s to a hard fought 69-57 victory over the Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles.{nl}In the first half, ALC was ice cold as they connected on only 20% from the field. However, they played stingy defense of their own to hold the conferences only undefeated club to 32% shooting. As a result, the Lady Eagles only trailed 28-24 at intermission.{nl}In the second half, Indiana’s Krausse came out on fire to lead her club to a double digit lead. Her scoring allowed IUE to pull ahead by 18 points with ten minutes remaining.{nl}ALC fought back and reduced the deficit to only 10 with five minutes remaining. On their next possession, Alice Lloyd lost the ball and Indiana capitalized with a bucket. The Lady Eagles fought hard, but were unable to get any closer.{nl}For ALC (6-13; 2-5) they were led by sophomore Heather Martin, who continued her stellar play by posting game highs of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Joining her in double figures was fellow sophomore Gemma Gray with 13.{nl}For IUE (16-7; 9-0), Krausse’s 19 points led the way.{nl}Alice Lloyd returns to action on Friday, February 5th at 6pm when they take on the Asbury Lady Eagles. They then play at home on Saturday, February 6th when they face the Cincinnati Christian Eagles at 1pm.
