The home standing Cincinnati Christian Eagles defeated the visiting Alice Lloyd Eagles 122-102 in a KIAC match up. The high scoring affair was played Saturday night.{nl}In the first half, ALC got 20 points from junior guard Daniel Combs on 7-9 shooting, but still trailed 52-47 at the break.{nl}In the second half, ALC hung tough and kept the game tight. However, paced by guard Darnation Thomas, CCU slowly pulled away to earn the conference victory.{nl}For ALC (4-11; 0-3), five players finished in double figures. In addition to Combs, who led the way with 30, sophomore forward Nick Brumback contributed 22  Freshman guard Brandon Brugraff added 13, while sophomores Brandon Hayes and Van Ferguson each chipped in with 12.{nl}For CCU (8-9; 1-3), they were paced by Thomas with 28.{nl}The Eagles return to the hardwood on Monday, January 18th as they travel to Louisville to face the Eutectics from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The important conference showdown will take place at 3pm.{nl}
