With Gray coming out of the gates strong and drilling six bombs in the first half alone (accounting for 24 first half points), she propelled ALC to a 48-28 lead at intermission.{nl}In the second half, the Lady Eagles continued the firepower as they refused to allow Hiwassee any hope of a comeback. They played inspired ball as they increased their lead by another 10 points and won going away.{nl}“I was very pleased with the effort tonight,” stated a victorious coach Noble- Acevedo. “Faced with the adversity of playing with so many injuries, I challenged the girls that it was an opportunity for other players to raise their level of play. To have any chance to go on the road and win outside of the conference, you have to remain focused and play well. Gemma really came up big for us, and her play gave every girl confidence to perform at a high level.”{nl}For ALC (2-3), in addition to Grey’s big night, three other Lady Eagles hit for double figures as well.{nl}Allison Feltner played strong as the sophomore accounted for 14 points.
