Playing once more without the services of injured starters Bailey Gabbard and Chelsea Jarrell, the Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles hosted the 17th ranked squad in NAIA Division 1, the Lady Raiders of Lindsey Wilson University. In a contest that was much closer than the final score, ALC fell 83-67. The matchup took place Tuesday night.{nl}Both clubs played well in the first twenty minutes.  Led by the one -two punch of guard Bree Frazier and sophomore center Alison Feltner, ALC tied the game at 22.  However, sparked by the inside play of forward Viktoria Krell and back to back threes from guard Kasey Litzinger, the LWU closed the half on a 12-4 run and pulled out to a 40-32 lead at intermission.  {nl}In the second half, the Lady Raiders slowly crept out to a double digit lead. Fueled by sophomore forward Gemma Grey, the Lady Eagles fought back to cut the deficit to 3.  When LWU pulled ahead once more by 10, Frazier and Grey helped ALC mount another comeback and the Lady Eagles trailed by only 5 with five minutes remaining.{nl}At this juncture, the Lady Raiders demonstrated why they are worthy of  their high national ranking,  as they closed the final four minutes on a 15-4 run to finally seal the game in the victory column. {nl}For ALC (2-4), three ladies cracked double digits. They were led in scoring by the junior Frazier with 20 points.  Feltner finished with 16 and Grey added 15.  {nl}For LWU (3-0), they were led by Krell with 22 points and guard Sierra Rambert with 21.  Bethany Spillman and Litzinger also finished in double figures with 17 and 10 points respectively.  {nl}Alice Lloyd’s next action will be Friday November 20, when they travel to Montgomery, West Virginia to participate in the prestigious West Virginia Tech Classic. Games will be played on Friday at 8:00 against WVU Tech and Saturday at 2:00 against Pikeville.
